One of our favourite women who unapologetically takes up space, Angelina Jolie, wore our creative director Rae’s very first iteration of this dress on a U.N. mission almost a decade ago. The dress wasn’t gifted, so seeing her in it, in the heat and heart of Africa, was a surprise. Remembering that grainy pap-snap as she stepped out of a vehicle, Rae kept that image in her head and then many years later went back to the drawing board [literally] and created a brand new version from scratch; this time finessed and refined. The version she always wanted to make.
